In sickness and in health

Hey everyone, how are you doing? I am okay… I don’t know if it is allergies, sinuses, or just some random bug, but ugh. I am done with it.  The past 3 or 4 days have just kinda sucked that way.  Oh well, the show must go on.  I was able to get a slow 2 miles in, still a mile is a mile.

How do you guys approach exercise when you are sick.  Now I don’t mean, down and out sick, but just kinda run down and not 100%, do you power through?  Skip it?  Modify it?  Before I was all about skipping it, I’m not well, lets just give my body a break.  I can’t do that this time around because I need to keep up my run streak.  A mile a day until the end of the year, I am on day 24, I can’t skip a day this early in the game.  So… I put my shoes on and got my miles in.  I don’t feel worse for wear and I don’t feel better.  So I guess no harm no foul and it did put a little bit of a pep in my step.  

 

I don’t know about you guys but I can really milk a cold.  Now, I am not talking man flu worthy(sorry men) but it gives me a reason to be lazy for a day or seven.  I totally use it as an excuse to do nothing, so I am happy for my run streak commit to keep up and moving.
