Do you feel the rhythm?
Hello everyone, I am ready to conquer the week! The kitchen is finished!!!!! I am so happy that it is done, it is amazing what a coat of paint can do. I really wanted to get it done before my little girl's first birthday party and we did it! She may now turn one. ;)
Do you guys listen to music when you work out? I used to be ride or die when it comes to listening to music. If I didn’t have my headphones with me, I would not work out! I needed the distraction that music would bring, without it all I would think about is how horrible exercising is. I didn’t use the time to think about problems or anything like that, it was pure daydreaming time. It really isn’t until I had kids that I learned how to exercise without music. I feel like it takes discipline to workout to nothing but your thoughts. I remember walking with my mom with a portable CD player and having to hold it perfectly level for it to work!!! (that totally just aged me) Since the majority of my workouts are running related, and a majority of them are outside, and a majority of them are with the kids, I need to be able to hear what is going on. Even when running outside, I think it is a good idea to either to keep the music low or no music at all. Be aware of your surroundings people.
I ran on the treadmill yesterday and decided to listen to music for a change, and man, what a rush! It is amazing what music can do, those 2.25 miles flew by! It was jam after jam! Spotify just gets me. What are your thoughts on music and working out? Need it? Never use it? I would love to hear!
