Buddy Workout 10-31-17

Happy Halloween!  May your sugars be low and your scares be high!  

 

Today I was able to get an interval treadmill workout with the neighbor that got us both sweating.  That is not surprising for me (considering that I would be sweaty after a walk in 30 degrees) but is surprising for the neighbor, she never sweats!!  Because we both are leg heavy in general when it comes to exercising (we both manly run) I kept our weight intervals focused on the upper body.  Boulder shoulders here we go.

 

You could easily do this by yourself, with a partner, outside, or inside on the treadmill.  If you don’t have access to a treadmill and don’t want to go out it the cold, for the cardio portion try jumping jacks, running in place, jumping rope anything to get the heart rate up for about 4 minute intervals.  Give it a try and let me know how you feel!


 

Run .50 miles at fast speed (i started at 6.0)

45 seconds of the following exercises

Bicep Curls

Tricep kickbacks

Hammer Curls

Tricep dips

 

Run .50 miles at fast speed (again 6.0)

 

45 seconds of the following

Shoulder press

Push ups

Front raises

Side raises

 For extra resistance, add toddler

For extra resistance, add toddler

 

Repeat entire cycle for a total of 2 miles.

 

We finished with 4 miles total between the two of us in under 40 minutes.  The last mile I upped the speed to 6.5.
