First 10 pounds

Welcome back!  Halloween killed me, all this stupid candy.  Anyways, today I was able to get 2.3 miles in on the treadmill and I enjoyed every minute of it, tomorrow (November 1st) I am starting 3 miles a day.  On my road to a possible marathon I am trying to up my mileage to 50 miles a week, so November marks my goal of 25 miles a week.  Let's do this.

Now that I am officially down 10 pounds I feel like I am truly on my way.  I do not want to drop a lot of weight quickly, I have done that in the past and I never kept it off.  I feel like slow and steady is the key to maintaining the weight loss, truly changing my habits.

Even though I lost ten pounds I don’t see or feel much of a difference.  When you have so much weight to lose the first couple don’t make much of a difference, which can be very disheartening.  But you have to think long term, at the end of the year when I am at 20 pound marker I will be feeling so much better. When I get to my birthday(which is in March) and I am hopefully closer to the 40 pound marker I will be feeling amazing.  When it is summer again and everyone is pulling out the shorts and cute shirts… I will be too because hopefully I will be around the 60 pound marker and getting close to my goal weight.  All those timelines will be here sooner than you think.  So… 10 down and a few more to go.

Hello swimsuit season :)
