25 miles a week
You all will be happy to hear I did not get sick! I really hope I didn’t just jinx things…(2 hours after I wrote this statement guess what happened... I just had to say it!!!) You know what's annoying, when you husband loses 8 pounds without even trying. Thats stupid.
My goal for the month of December was to average 25 miles per week, well I averaged 20. I wanted to slowly up my weekly mileage to the point of 50 miles per week in order to prepare myself for a marathon. For some reason though I found it hard getting that extra 5 miles in! It is probably all down to my conditioning. It isn’t until the past 2ish weeks that I have felt comfortable running 3 miles, and the past week where 4 miles felt okay. I am either really naive or optimistic because I always think things will be easy. Run 25 miles a week, easy. Train for a marathon, easy. Have my husband build us a kitchen table when he hasn’t even built a birdhouse, easy. ;) (to be fair, he is killing the table!! It looks awesome, it should be done soon)
Now that I have come to terms with this being harder than I think, I have given myself the gift of time. I really thought that in a few months I would go from running a mile to running 50 miles a week! Hahahahahaha, just re-reading that statement has me laughing. Man, am I overconfident! So, my goal for the month of December is to run 25 miles per week. I have a much better base to accomplish my goal this month then I did last month. And just a FYI for everyone, when I ended the week on Saturday I was at 24.7 miles. :) Lets try this again.
