Thursday!!!! Bout time. It's not that I had a rough week, I am just really excited for the rest of the week! You will find out why in Friday Enticements. :D Today was a good day, I was able to get 4 miles in, I started out slow, I just wanted to see what my body could handle after being sick and after the first 1.5 mile I turned it up. My body is just fine. (yes it is. Not really, do people talk like that?) Then it was on to our yearly tradition of looking at christmas lights with the neighbours. We pile everyone into their van and head on over to Country Christmas in Pewaukee, I highly recommend. Especially if you have small children. The older boys really appreciated it this year.
Now that we are fast approaching the end of the year, I am wondering if I should keep up my run streak. My whole goal was to run a mile everyday until 2018, as a way to make exercise a habit. It worked. 100% success rate when it comes to making exercise a daily part of my life, but I am wondering if I should give myself rest days. The main reason I am even contemplating this is because of my aches and pains. The inside of my lower leg has been bothering me as well as my hip, so I wonder if having a day off will help. (I am sure it would) But I also think I need to do a better job at recovery. I.e. stretching and strength training. I think it would be sad to stop my runstreak, it really has helped me a lot. But I don’t want to become so obsessed over that that it becomes an entirely different issue. What do you guys think? I need some help with this.
