To gym or not to gym

Good morning everyone, I hope you are doing well.   Yesterday was a good day.  It started off with myself and the neighbors husband taking the kids to the park, this is a very big deal because they just redid the park that we go to.  Neighbors husband and I ended up creating our own ninja playground course and we can not wait to challenge the spouses.  I finished in 48 seconds. (I have no idea if that is good or not) To finish the day, I got my run in with the neighbor, run streak day 10 done.  I’m excited to be in the double digits!

Who goes to the gym and who doesn’t?  I am constantly on the merry go round of gym memberships.  Over the summer we were members for one reason, two free hours of childcare.  That helped my sanity greatly in the beginning.  Honestly it was the only reason I would get out of the house!  Now that I am getting back to Paula, I don’t feel it is as necessary as before so when the month is done so are we.  To all those that are gym members make sure you check to see if you insurance will reimburse you.  It is becoming more popular for insurance companies help pay for the membership or give you some sort of reward if you go so many times a month.

I think there are pro’s and con’s to both gym and non-gym members and don’t think there is anything wrong with either, just personal preference.  The gym can be a more motivating environment but getting the motivation to get there can be hard.   With the gym you have more versatility with your workout but you can also be overwhelmed with all the equipment.  Your gym may offer classes, so does Youtube. (the Youtube channel Fitnessblender is awesome, as well as Whitney Simmons-she has a lot of weight workouts using only dumbbells)

There are a lot of things to consider before starting that monthly contract with a gym, you have to do what best for your body and your lifestyle.  What works for you guys? What do you prefer?
