Drunken pinto beans



The following is a recipe for drunken pinto beans.  I love beans, Brad hates them.  The nice thing about that is then all the beans are mine!!! Hahahahahah! (I hope you heard that as an evil laugh) These beans would go great with any mexican meal or just as side dish with lunch!




Ingredients                                                                   Serves 5-7


2 14 oz can of pinto beans

2 shots of tequila

2 pieces of bacon

¼ c lime juice

2 tsp cumin

2 tsp chili powder

2 tsp garlic powder



  1. Cook bacon in saucepan, when bacon is done discard fat.  Break bacon apart into small pieces (smaller than 1 inch in size) and set aside

  2. Pour the beans into the same saucepan with spices and tequila and bring to a boil, once at a boil bring down to simmer and add bacon.  Simmer for 10-15 minutes and serve!
