Basic Chicken Lime Marinade

This is my go to chicken marinade for meal prepping.  I will pull my chicken out of the fridge and put it in a ziploc bag with this marinade and let it sit on the counter for 2-3 hours while the meat comes up to room temperature.  (Make sure you don’t forget about it!!!!)  It has a great lime flavor, and feel free to up the heat with more red pepper flakes!



Ingredients                                                                       Serves 4-6

4 chicken breast

2 limes, juiced and zested

4 garlic cloves

¼ tsp red pepper flakes

1/4 c olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste



  1. Put all ingredients in ziplock back and let marinade for 2-3 hours at room temperature.  

  2. Dump everything onto a hot pan and cook for 3-5 per side until internal temperature reaches 165 F.
